St John the Baptist church in Bere Regis.
The medieval church's history dates back many years. In the 10th century it was where Queen Elfida was incarcerated after her part in the murder of King Edward at Corfe Castle.
It is more recently famed due to being the resting place of the Turberville family. The name of whom was borrowed by Hardy in Tess of the d'Urbervilles
