Hoods

  • Hoods

Cleverly converted from an ancient cart shed/log barn and mid-century milking parlour, Hoods provides bright, contemporary, light filled accommodation with an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area, utility room, cloakroom, family bathroom and two bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room. With wonderful far reaching views across the Marshwood Vale including local landmark Colmer’s Hill, you can experience some of the best uninterrupted views of Dorset.

Hoods is a place to gather, whether you are seeking a bolthole to gather your thoughts whilst you relax and recharge, or as a place to gather with friends and cook and share long lazy meals and chats around the table or gazing across the landscape.

Sitting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty at Kingsland Farm, there is plenty of wildlife to experience and enjoy when relaxing on the large decked terrace, be it the tawny owls, pheasants, roe deer, badgers or numerous other local species.

Additional accommodation can be booked (subject to availability) at neighbouring Loaf.

Additional Information:

Children and infants welcome. Travel cot and high chair available on request (please provide your own cot linen).

Two well-behaved dogs welcome (additional charge). Please do not allow dogs on the beds or furniture. A dog crate for up to a large Labrador sized dog is available upon request.

Upon booking guests are given the choice of a welcome hamper or voucher for use at the local farm shop.

Please note that whilst the communal areas are all one level, there are steps to each of the bedrooms with hand rails.

Hoods is on a working farm. We have flocks of hens and bantams plus cockerels. They do roam free range hence us asking you to keep your dog on a lead going to and from the car.

There are facilities for washing your dog in a barn near the parking area - there is a dedicated dog bath with hose and towels are supplied.
