Shire horses in action plus other animals and activities for all ages
Just a short drive from The New Forest in Verwood is the popular family attraction of Dorset Heavy Horse Centre. An award winning park that has something for all the family.
Activities include tractor and trailer rides, horse wagon rides, pony rides, go carting and much more. There are also a range of friendly farm animals including chickens, ducks, snow dogs, sheep, goats, alpacas, rabbits, and much more.
The Heavy Horse Centre is also home to over 20 rescued heavy horses who are looked after thanks to the support of the team here.
