Situated in a fine Georgian townhouse the Fashion Museum has exhibits covering 250 years of historical costume and accessories

The Blandford Fashion Museum is located in the heart of Blandford Forum in Lime Tree House, a beautiful Georgian townhouse. Built in 1731 by John and William Bastard after the great fire of Blandford it is now a Grade I listed building. This attraction was awarded full museum status in 2001.

The collections feature fashion dating from the 1730s to the 1970s with an accessories room that includes shoes, hats, fans, parasols and more, all grouped into their respective eras. The exhibitions tend to change every other year and are mounted to display different stories about the changing shape of fashion with a special focus on under garments and how they affect the silhouette.
