In a great location in Dorset, White Horse Farm is situated in Middlemarsh, 6 miles south of the quaint, characterful abbey town of Sherborne, 12 miles north of the lovely country town of Dorchester and 4 miles from the small village of Cerne Abbas, with its famous Cerne Giant engraved on the hillside. White Horse Farm offers a lovely ambience for a holiday and a retreat to get away from it all. Set over 2 acres, the site has four single storey barn conversions (three for 2 people (refs 31202, 31203 and 31204, and one for 4 people (ref 31201), and a detached lodge cabin for 8 (ref 31205). Each barn conversion comes with its own decked patio out to the front, and the log cabin has its own large garden. There is a games room on site, a duck pond, 2 acres of land to enjoy and a large, Finnish-style, indoor barbecue cabin that seats up to 15 people. The holiday homes can be booked separately or are ideal for guests wishing to book a number of them for getting together. If not relaxing on site, then Sherborne with its shops, restaurants, abbey and castle is well worth a visit, as is Dorchester with its Tutankhamun Exhibition, Dinosaur Museum, Dorset Teddy Bear Museum, Terracotta Warriors Museum and Keep Military Museum. Within easy driving distance vistitors can have family outings to the Yeovilton Fleet Air Arm Museum, Haynes Motor Museum or wander into south Somerset and explore Glastonbury, Cheddar and onto Bath. If you are looking for some sea time, just south of Dorchester, the children will love Weymouth with its wonderful sandy beach. Perhaps explore from Weymouth, all the way down the coast to the lovely seaside resort of Lyme Regis, taking in the superb, scenic, coastal views along Chesil Beach and the famous World Heritage Coast, which is not to be missed. There is a wealth of attractions to be seen in this popular area, and you will not be short of memorable days out. Beach 18 miles. Shop 4 miles, pub and restaurant 200 yards.
